Thank You!

Thank you all for helping me put together a successful event. Thanks to Rima Patel, Reggie Hutcherson, Dave Nelson, Chaba Kingwood, Isabel Jowers, Liana Vagharshakian, Rob Shear, Laura Dennis, Patrick Jenkens, Jonathan Howard, Jess Tyler, all the evangelists, and everyone that helped me put this together.

Congratulations Edwin Morris on winning your Ipod Nano.

Thank you all, UMD students, for coming. I will still be promoting Sun Technologies until the end of the semester so if you have any questions, please feel free to stop me on campus and talk to me.

Database Back up (hicup)

Sorry about that hicup. Our database was down for about an hour. It's back up now. If you recently tried to register, and couldn't, please register now.

If you have any problems registering, please drop me an e-mail at koffi ATSIGN umd.edu and let me know. Or, you could just post a comment to this blog, and I'll take care of it.

Thank you all for your interest. This is going to be a GREAT event!

See you all tomorrow at 1:00PM in the Horvitz Lecture Hall (CSIC Room 1115).

The DiamondBack

This is ad running in The DiamondBack. I went through a lot of trouble to get it in, but it worked out. It should be running on 4/26 and 4/27. Posted by Picasa

Registration and Ads

So, people are still registering for the event, which is really cool. I'm hoping for a bigger turn out then what the registration demonstrates. I haven't added the people that registered here on the blog site and those that have registered on Facebook. The good thing is:

if on day x,
n people register,
on day x+k,
n+m(k) people register.

Where m(k) > m(k-1).

I'm not gonna do the algebraic proof. It's proven in practive which is where I derived the formula. That's good enough for me =0).

Look for our ad in Wednesday and Thursday's DiamondBack. Actually I'll post the ad here too.

Ipod Nano Giveawy

Hi all,

Yesterday, I met with Cahba Kingwood who is I believe the Regional Sales Manager for Sun Microsystems. We discussed how we were going to handle the events left for the semester. Anyway, what most of you care about is this: I am now in posession of the Ipod. So you can be sure that you will go home with the ipod... if you win.
